God’s Chosen Kind

This website shows that Christians, not Jews, are now God’s chosen people.

Many Christians naively believe that Jews are still God’s chosen people.

Yes, it is mentioned that Jews are God’s chosen people in the Old Testament.  However in the New Testament, Christ believers become God’s chosen people, as they are believers of the true faith.

In the Old Testament in the bible, God does tell the Jews that they will be his Chosen people:

Deuteronomy 14:2 [GNT]

2 You belong to the Lord your God; he has chosen you [Jews] to be his own people from among all the peoples who live on earth.

Genesis 17:7 [GNT]

7 ‘“I will keep my promise to you and to your descendants in future generations as an everlasting covenant. I will be your God and the God of your descendants.
*******

Exodus 19:5 [GNT]

5 Now, if you will obey me and keep my covenant [the Laws of Moses], you will be my own people. The whole earth is mine, but you will be my chosen people,

Notice how God promises in Genesis 17:7 that Jews will be his chosen people forever?
However God also warns them in Exodus 19:5, that God’s promise is conditional.  God promises that the Jews will be his chosen people if they obey him, and keep his covenant (which is the Laws of Moses).  However as we read in the Old Testament, the Jews continually don’t obey his Covenant, nor obey his 10 Commandments.  And finally, when Jesus Christ is sent down by God the father to correct the Jew’s wrongful ways and offer them a chance at salvation, they get jealous and eventually turn on Jesus and demand that the Romans crucify Jesus.  [Mat 27:24-26], [John 19:11], [1 Thess 2:14-15]
So God and his Apostles turned to the Gentiles (Non Jews) instead, and gave them the chance of accepting Jesus Christ, and gaining salvation.  [Acts 13:45-47]
Many Gentiles accepted.  Hence why Christians who were now believers of the true faith, were now considered God’s chosen people.  Below are two New Testament quotes from Christ’s disciple, the Apostle Peter, who wrote to the Christ believers who were scattered like refugees throughout Asia Minor, fleeing from persecution:

1 Peter 1:1 [GNT]

1 From Peter, apostle of Jesus Christ - To God's chosen people who live as refugees scattered throughout the provinces of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia.
2 You were chosen according to the purpose of God the Father and were made a holy people by his Spirit, to obey Jesus Christ and be purified by his blood.
*******

1 Peter 2:9 [GNT]

But you are the chosen race, the King's priests, the holy nation, God's own people, chosen to proclaim the wonderful acts of God, who called you out of darkness into his own marvelous light.
10 At one time you were not God's people, but now you are his people; at one time you did not know God's mercy, but now you have received his mercy.
*******

Hence this clearly proves that Christians are now God’s chosen people, and not Jews.
